DEFNALL, Rita (neé Castillo), Age 85, departed this life on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in Detroit, Michigan. Rita Defnall was born May 28, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to the parents of the late Esteban Castillo and Guadalupe Mena Gutierrez. Rita is the beloved mother of Horacio Guadiana, Michael (Mayte) Guadiana, Lydia Guadiana, Brenda (Eugene) Slusarczyk and Mark Guadiana. Adored grandmother and great-grandmother of April Guadiana, Vanessa Guadiana, Eric (Liz) Castillo, Jorge Guadiana, Karina Guadiana, Elda Guadiana, two great-grandchildren Sophia Castillo, and Cameron Castillo. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Eliseco (Angela) Castillo and Raymon (Lydia) Castillo and one brother-in-law Richard Sanchez (Sabina Sanchez's husband). Rita was preceded in death by both parents Esteban Castillo and Guadalupe Mena Gutierrez. One son Richard Guadiana and several siblings, Delores Matias Del Toro, Sabina Sanchez, Heliodoro Castillo, Rebecca Castillo, Eva Castillo, Eva Castillo, and Louise Montemayor. Rita will be missed by all who knew her including many, niece, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial Gathering Friday, May 26, 2023 12:00pm until 4:00pm (Prayer Service at 3:00pm) at Chas. Your death mom is a great loss for me. It has caused irreparable damage to my heart. Who else will love me like you? Who will always be there for me like you ? Why will death take away such a precious mother like you? I will continue to cherish the memories we shared. RIP angel mother.
