Cindy Charon

Cynthia Dawn Charon passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Eastpointe at the age of 67. Born January 23, 1954 to Lloyd and Pearl Charon in Detroit, Michigan; Cindy was a Nurse who worked over the years at Detroit Memorial Hospital, Detroit Riverview Hospital and most recently at Shorepointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in St. Clair Shores from which she had retired. Cindy's natural talent for caring extended beyond those around her to include a love for the repair and restoration of antique furniture, watches and clocks. She loved to bowl and was a member of "The Breakfast Club" women's league at Fraser Lanes where she shared her Thursday mornings among family and many friends. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, attending Detroit Tigers games, had an extensive collection of music with a special fondness for Record Albums and loved the color pink. Cindy reunites with her father, the late Lloyd Charon as she leaves behind her Beloved mother Pearl; Dear sisters Rebecca (Ron) Bourcier and Lisa (Keith) Thomas and remains the Loving aunt of Michael Dawson, Steven Dawson, Leah Thomas and Haley Thomas as they all remember her as a thoughtful, kind and generous person with a great sense of humor. Cindy Charon was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. A service in memoriam will be announced at a later date and the family welcomes you to share your favorite memories here at Verheyden.org

Saddened to hear the news of Aunt Charon. Heaven has gained another beautiful angel. She was kind and so giving to others. It takes a special person to take care of others and she was one of a kind.

The Breakfast Club has been a bowling league for over forty years with many ladies still on it. Cindy was one of them and was on my team. I knew we could always count on her to be there as she rarely missed a day of bowling. I, along with all the other ladies will truly miss her.
