Suzanne, Matt, Christine, Hank....Patsy and Annie.....The Fosters.., ..our WONDERFUL neighbors! It's July 21st, 2021 at 4:06pm. And I JUST found out this news about Suzanne. It paralyzed me.., .wait....Suzanne? No, not Sue. And then I read how the disease took her far too soon. My parents and I are saddened beyond words. We had many great year's with The Fosters and family. Please, all of you know just how sorry we are about Dues illness that robbedher from you. And we pray for Sues immediate family that peace and calm come once again to your hearts. She will be forever missed. And time can separate.....we moved and life wasn't the same. We love you all. We miss you all. I'm sorry we missed the service. SO sorry. Lovingly, Kathi, Al and Thea Walker

Sue and I started teaching the same year at Kantner Elementary School. She was a good woman and pleasant with everyone. She will be missed greatly.

Sue was a great “super bowl” mom for us and I remember her good nature and kindness every time we all got together.

For my sister Suzanne

The wind whispers
the flame flickers
how long on the wind
does it linger

A name remember
but for how long
Lives are short
and time moves on

Matt, Christine, I know she'll live on in your hearts
to be remembered from their start
as days grow old for you as well
how does the flame get passes to tell
how a life was lived so well

She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend,
To so many till the end
her name will be often shared
in conversations here and there

As many memories beguile
They live on and bring a smile
we pass on, but if the wind is strong
It carries us and we live on.

Rest in heavenly peace ❤

My sincere condolences on the passing of my 6th grade teacher at Kantner, Mrs. Gaynor. She was a great teacher, who first recognized that my vision was a problem, that led me to get glasses and excel at school. May she rest in peace.

So sorry for your loss. I was very saddened to see the news of her passing. My son attended Pleasentview Elementary and he had/has health problems and let me tell you that she was/always worked with me and my son with any issues and making sure he was well taken care of and had his medication on time. My son now will be 20 this October 2021 and can't thank her enough for always being concerned about her students. Rest in peace.

I remember Mrs. Galnor very well. She had three of my kids (Nick, Stephanie and Adam Ratz) at Pleasantview as their principal. Very pleasant to deal with on a school basis. Very sweet on a personal basis. My daughter, Stephanie had cancer at 8 years of age. Mrs. Galnor not only responded as her principal to make continuing her studies easier through chemo, hospital visits, and time at home, she acted as a friend to this mom. Never forgot her kindness. I hope our Father in heaven gives comfort and peace to her family. May He ease their grief and bring sweet memories to mind. Thank you, Mrs. Galnor, for all you did in this life.

I feel so fortunate to have known Sue. I will miss her beautiful bright smile. She always had a very calming aura about her. You could sit and talk with her for hours and come away feeling very calm and peaceful. I will miss you terribly my friend. Pat Tapper

Although distance separated us over the years, I have always thought of Sue as an important friend in my life. We shared so much history …U of M, East Detroit teachers & principals, marriage introductions, fellow Virgos, etc. So sad to lose such a wonderful caring friend. You have all been the best caregivers. Now happy memories will help you through these next few days.
With love, Carole Krieger

It’s nasty. A thief. A robber. Unkind and unforgiving. Relentless. It came slowly, but continued it’s increasing, ever tightening, grip. And now it’s won. Primary Lateral Sclerosis. I wish I could hang it on a board and throw darts at it. I would hone my skills and take perfect aim. We’ve all had Sue on our minds these last short years, praying that somehow she could beat the debilitation that came first to her legs, then arms and hands, neck, face and speech. Those of us who could, visited. Joking with Hank as we shared stories of old, holding Sue’s hands and kissing her forehead, touching bases with Christine and, a few of us, Matt. There were tears. Lots of them. And there are tears now as I write this. I remember as my parents and their friends aged. Mom said it was a really tough time when their peers started trips to Heaven. Now I understand just how they felt. Gosh, it’s heart wrenching! It stings. It hurts like Hell. I will never forget the beautiful dark haired teenaged girl with the slow smile who sat behind me in Mr. Finch’s high school choir class, or the day Christine was born while Matt played contentedly at our house, or the time she showed up at our side door, very calmly telling me that Hank had taken Steve to the emergency room because he cut himself with the chainsaw while helping down a tree, or the many, many God Squad antics that all of us played a part in at one time or another. Our lives have been so intertwined. And I thank my lucky stars for that. These are the memories we hold dear!!! XOX
