Wanda Jazowski, age 94, long-time resident of Harper Woods, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. Wanda was born on October 25,1925 in Detroit, Michigan, and was the dear daughter of the late Frank and late Ceslawa (Miloszewski) Jazowski.
Wanda is preceded in death by her siblings: Chester (Dorothy) Jazowski; Stephanie (Herb) McComb; Henrietta Zentarski-Graye (Chester, Sylvester); and Alfred (Betty) Jazowski. She has (11) loving nieces/nephews, many great nieces/nephews, great-great nieces/nephews, and (1) great-great-great niece.
Wanda began working at J.L. Hudson Company wrapping Christmas presents when she was 16 years old, and did achieve the position as Executive Secretary for Joseph L. Hudson. She remained with the company as they went through a few years of merging/buyouts (Hudsons --> Dayton-Hudson --> Marshall Fields --> May Company --> Macy's), including job changes, all with optimism and a smile on her face and in her heart. With her cheerful disposition, kind heart, and concern for others, Wanda acquired dear friends throughout her 64 years with the Hudson Stores.
Wanda devoted her entire life, when she was young and until her final days, to selfless service for others. Volunteering was part of her essence, whether it was for her Catholic Parish, Polish Century Club, one of the Hudson "help" programs, or a Retirement activity assisting cancer patients. She was mindful, always putting the needs of others first. She was Gracious to everyone, Elegant in manners, Grateful for everyone and everything, Kind - never an unpleasant word spoken, Strong in her faith and Love for others. We, as her nieces and nephews, have been Blessed to share our lives with hers. We had so much more to learn.
Unfortunately, current events prevent us from gathering with everyone at this time. But we look forward with hope and faith to a day, to be announced in the near future, when we can come together to celebrate our loving and affectionate Aunt's Life.
Because of her deep love of children, the family suggests any donations you wish to make in her name, be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a children's charity of your choice.
Memories of a True Angel
My deepest sympathy to Wanda's family. Wanda was a dear friend of my mother, Virginia Wasung, from St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Detroit. I remember Miss Wanda as always being impeccably dressed and so very kind. I enjoyed seeing so many pictures of her in the memories. She was just as I remember, always a smile on her face and the sparkle in her eyes. May she rest in peace.

Memories of a True Angel
My deepest condolences to Wanda's family. I worked with Wanda at Hudson's in the executive office at Northland. We were fast friends and remained so for many, many years. She was a ray of sunshine! Always warm and caring with a sparkle in her eye. We'd enjoy a chuckle at the coffee machine in the morning and always a goodbye and see you tomorrow in the evening. Wanda was an amazing human being and I hope to be more like her. Godspeed my dear friend.
My Deepest Sympathy to all of Wanda’s family. I lived next door to the Jazowskis on Helen street where Io was born and all my younger years she was special to me she later got me my first job at Hudson’s after graduation. Many memories are in my heart and she always took the time to talk and reminess with you. Her love for everyone and especially her family was special. Not enough words to express my love and adoration for her Rest In Peace my Dear Friend you are with all our loved ones I’ll never forget your Smile God Bless you and those you left behind🙏🏻🙏🏻💕
Wanda was one of the kindest, most hard working, and passionately dedicated people I had the fortune to meet and to work with. As Executive Secretary in the Hudson’s/Marshall Fields corporate offices at Northland, Wanda not only was a great partner for whichever division she was given the responsibility for (and there were many), but never hesitated to support anyone who needed the assistance of her vast knowledge throughout her career. It was a pleasure to be in her presence both on a professional and personal level, and I will cherish the memories of Wanda’s kind and loving smile.
With deepest sympathy to her family and friends. May she Rest In Peace.

The Essence of our Beautiful Aunt Wanda!
My acquaintance with Wanda dates to the years during which she was Executive Secretary to the Director of the Studios of Interior Design in the Regional Offices of the company at Northland Center. She exemplified the best of 'The Greatest Generation' in devotion to her work which was always performed with the utmost professionalism. Impeccable in appearance and demeanor, she inspired those around her in any number of ways. After her retirement, and for a number of years thenceforth, we shared annual holiday season notes of greetings and best wishes. Wanda was particularly supportive of my career and personally kind to me. I shall always carry positive, heartfelt memories of dear Wanda. Rest in peace...
