Had the pleasure of spending time with Jean when she would visit in Iowa. She always showed an interest in others and was a great conversationalist with a big heart. We could talk about anything and everything. Jean was a real pleasure to spend time with. My sympathies to the Meathe family who have always been wonderful to me and my family.

When I was in elementary and still living in Harper Woods I showed up At her house one day early for lunch and that day was Valentine’s Day She realized I didn’t have any valentines for my classmates. So her and I made up valentines cards and then I went back to school and gave valentine cards to my other classmates. I will miss her very much With love her nephew Kurt Raske

On behalf of the Capuchin brothers, I offer my deepest sympathies on the passing of Jean. It is truly humbling to receive memorial donations in honor of Jean's life. Please be assured of the brother's prayers for the entire Meathe family during this great time of grief. May perpetual light shine upon Jean!

I used to call her Momma Jean and she loved it!!! We used to talk on the phone, especially when my mom was away on a trip. I will miss the sound of your laugh and our “very long” conversations. We hit it off instantly from the first time we spoke. Although we never met in person, I felt like I knew her thanks to face time and pictures. You will forever be in my heart, thoughts and memories. I hope she meets my dad she in heaven. I love you Momma JEAN xoxo
