Mrs. Andrea Madeline (Hardy) Ager, age 62, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25th, 2019 with her husband and two children by her side. Andrea was born to the late Byron and Madelaine (Tremblay) Hardy on March 13, 1957 in Mt. Clemens. They resided in Detroit along with her late brothers Dan, Pat, and Jay. She married Thomas Friedlund and had one son, Sean Friedlund. She later remarried to Edward Ager and had a daughter, Michelle (Ager) Albright. Andrea worked and volunteered her time in the Mt. Clemens Schools as a teacher’s aide, where she was able to fulfill her passion for working with children, especially those with disabilities. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her five beautiful grandchildren, having girls nights with the Hotpies (her best friends of 45+ years), and watching General Hospital. She was a Detroiter through and through, watching every Lions, Wings, Pistons, and Tigers game (as well as college games!) with her husband and best friend, Eddie. She also enjoyed spending time at her second home in East Jordan, where all of her in-laws became her dearest friends, many of whom became the sisters she never had. Andrea is survived by her husband Edward, her son Sean, his wife Kathryn, their five children, Malachi, Levi, Joshua, Geneva, and Leona, as well as her daughter Michelle. She also leaves behind countless friends and family who all laid a brick in her life’s path, and for whom she was always eternally grateful. Andrea’s wish was to continue to serve others long past her time on this earth. In lieu of flowers or gifts, Andrea desired that donations be made to the charity of your choice. If you don’t have a favorite charity, some of Andrea’s favorites include: St. Jude, St. Vincent de Paul, The Province of St. Joseph of the Capuchin Order, Macomb Autism Connect, and Simply Silverware. Andrea’s wishes also included a wake to be held in her memory. Her family intends on holding the wake in her birth month of March, which we know she would have loved. Details will be made available to family and friends as they are arranged.
