Mrs. Ruth Ogden Peabody
October 23, 1924 - January 11, 2010
PEABODY, Ruth Ogden, age 85, of Grosse Pointe Park, died Monday, January 11, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital. Survived by her son James O. (Michelle P.) Peabody. Also survived by her grandchildren Alexander, Elise, Henry and Adrienne Peabody, sisters Barbara Frances Ogden, Mary Ogden (Dick) Loyer, nieces Kathryn Flodquist and Anne Loyer. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents James B. and Isabelle F. (Schneider) Ogden, and a son Henry N. Peabody III. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Michigan Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Children’s Hospital; or the Michigan Humane Society. Ruth loved people, was an avid needle worker, enjoyed traveling, and worked for many years designing needlepoint as the owner of the Moth hole.
Funeral Information
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Christ Church, 61 Grosse Pointe Blvd, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI.
