Mr. Robert L. Queller

Mr. Queller was born November 8, 1929, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Adolph and Lee Queller.
He attended Wiley High School in Terre Haute, Indiana. He continued his education at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana graduating in 1951 and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He continued his education at Wayne State University earning a Masters of Public Administration.
Bob worked for 43 years at the Citizens Research Council of Michigan. He was the Executive Director for 15 years and retired in 1994. Throughout his career, Bob was a champion for better local and state government and passionate about serving the people of Detroit and Michigan. Over the years and into retirement, Bob served on numerous community and foundation boards. Those organizations include; Adult Well-Being Services of Detroit, Detroit Area Agency on Aging, and the Earhart Foundation.
Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara; four children and their spouses, Cindy and Arthur Ellis, Elaine and Michael Hargarten, Gayle and Doug Adams, David and Penny Queller; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral Information
Visitation Sunday 2-7 pm at Chas. Verheyden Funeral Home, 16300 Mack, Grosse Pointe Park. Memorial Service Monday 10:30 am at the funeral home.
